* 1/2 c smooth peanut butter (no added salt or sugar)&lt;br /&gt;
* 5 T soy sauce&lt;br /&gt;
* 1 T brown sugar&lt;br /&gt;
* 2 T water&lt;br /&gt;
* 2 garlic cloves, minced&lt;br /&gt;
* 1 T fresh lemon juice&lt;br /&gt;
* 1 t dried crushed red chilies (or 1/2 t chili flakes), or to taste&lt;br /&gt;
* 1/4 t ground cinnamon&lt;br /&gt;
* 4 T butter&lt;br /&gt;
* 1 onion, chopped&lt;br /&gt;
* 2 whole chicken breasts (~2 pounds), halved&lt;br /&gt;

=== Preparation ===&lt;br /&gt;
In a blender or food processor, combine the peanut butter, soy sauce, brown sugar, water, garlic, lemon juice, chilies, and cinnamon.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Put the mixture in a saucepan over low heat.  Add the butter and melt; simmer for 5 minutes.  Let cool to room temperature.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Put the onion and chicken breasts in a single layer in a shallow glass or ceramic dish.  Pour on the marinade and let stand, covered, for 12-24 hours in the refrigerator.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Prepare the grill or heat the broiler.  Cook the chicken about 7-8 inches from the flame for about 4-5 minutes on each side, turning several times during the cooking process.&lt;br /&gt;
