Ingredients
- 2 lb lettuce (2 kinds)
- 1 qt fresh strawberries, cleaned and sliced
- 1 (2 oz) package slivered, toasted almonds
- 1/2 lb asparagus (optional)
Poppy Seed Dressing
- 1/4-1/2 c sugar
- 1/4 c vinegar
- 1 1/2 t onion powder
- 1/4 t Worcestershire
- 1/2 c olive oil
- 1 T poppy seeds
- 1/4 t paprika
Preparation
Combine lettuce, strawberries, and almonds in a large bowl; cover and chill. Just before serving, pour dressing over salad and toss to coat.
Blanch the asparagus, cool and add over the salad, toss gently
Dressing
Combine all ingredients except oil and seeds in a blender; blend together. Slowly add oil while blending. Add seeds and mix/blend.
