Preheat the oven to 350°. | |||
Melt together the milk, 2 T of butter and chocolate chips for the filling. Add vanilla and let it cool. | |||
Cream the 1/2 cup butter and sugar together for the dough/crust. Add the egg and beat together until light. Mix in baking soda, oatmeal, and flour. | |||
Pat 2/3 of the dough mixture into a 9x13 pan. Spread the chocolate filling over the dough. Mix the nuts into the remaining dough. Dot/crumble/spoon the remaining dough onto the filling. | |||
Bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes. | |||

Ingredients
Chocolate Filling
- 1 can sweetened, condensed milk
- 2 T butter
- 2 c chocolate chips
- 1 t vanilla
Crust
- 1/2 c salted butter
- 1 c brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/4 c flour
- 1 c oatmeal
- 1/2 t baking soda
- 1 c nuts (optional)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°.
