Recipes

This is our online collection of recipes. One of the easiest ways to get started is by browsing through the recipes by category, or by looking at the whole list. Otherwise, you can search for recipes using the search box on the left side of the page.

All of the recipes have a summary in the upper right that gives some basic information about the recipe such as how Cheri and I rate the recipe with our custom rating scale, how much time it takes, where we got the recipe, etc..

There are currently about 135 recipes here.

In case you're curious about the picture in the upper corner, it is for Buttermilk Waffles with Cherry-Almond Sauce.

Getting Started

We've tried to fit all the recipes into a standard layout. For the most part each recipe has two sections, "Ingredients" and "Preparation". Some recipes may split out the ingredients and/or preparation instructions for separate components of the recipe. In these cases, there are still only two sections, but there may be subsections for individual components. For extra comments about the recipe, place them at the top of the article before the ingredients section or create a "Comments" section at the bottom.

Adding a Recipe

When adding a recipe, be sure to start the recipe with a "RecipeSummary" template, and make sure to add the recipe to at least one category at the bottom of the recipe. For help on how to edit/format a recipe read the WikiMedia help page for editors.

To see an example, click on the "view source" or "edit" tab on any recipe, such as this one.
