Ingredients
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1 c buttermilk
- 1 c soured cream (soured whipping cream)
- 1 1/2 c sugar
- 1 t nutmeg
- 1 t soda
- 1/2 t baking powder
- 5 c (give or take) flour
Preparation
Mix all ingredients; chill for 2 hours. Pat out instead of rolling. Let cream turn sour then sour with vinegar or lemon juice. Fry at 380° in lard.
