Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 c sugar
  • 1/4 c finely chopped almonds
  • 4 T butter, melted
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 3/4 c fresh lime juice
  • 2 t grated lime rind

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375°.

Combine crumbs, sugar, almonds and butter in a bowl. Blend well. Use the mixture to line the bottom and sides of a 10" pie plate. Bake 8-10 minutes. Remove and let cool. Reduce heat to 350°.

Beat egg yolks and stir in condensed milk. Add lime juice and rind. Pour filling into crust. Bake 15 minutes. Let cool and spread top with layer of whipped cream.
