Ingredients
- 1 thick, center-cut ham slice (~1 lb)
- 2 T pure maple syrup (honey, warmed, may be substituted)
- 2 t balsamic vinegar
Preparation
Place the ham in a 12" nonstick skillet over med-high heat. Cook on the first side until lightly browned (4-5 minutes). Repeat on second side.
While ham cooks, stir together syrup and balsamico; set aside. When ham is browned, pour syrup mixture over ham. Turn ham several times to coat, turning often until syrup just thickens (30-45 seconds). Move ham to serving plate and top with any remaining glaze.
