Ingredients

• 2 c brown sugar
• 2 c white sugar
• 2 c shortening or butter
• 6 eggs
• 4 tsp baking soda
• 2 tsp salt (reduce or eliminate if using salted butter)
• 4 tsp cream of tartar
• 8 c flour
• 1 T vanilla
• 3 c chocolate chips

Preparation

Bake for 8-10 minutes at 350°. Note: Recipe may easily be halved.
