Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c sifted flour
  • 2 t baking powder
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/2 c butter
  • 1 c granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c crushed Heath English Toffee bars

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350.

Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together. Cream butter. Add both sugars and cream well. Add eggs and vanilla; beat until fluffy. Blend in the dry ingredients. Stir in the crushed candy. Spread over the bottom of a well-greased 9x13x2 inch baking pan. Bake until done, about 30 minutes at 350°. When cool, cut into bars. If desired, bars may be frosted when cool with a white or chocolate butter frosting, before cutting. Sprinkle more candy bits on top.
