Ingredients
- 2 c whole wheat flour
- 1 t baking powder
- 1/2 t baking soda
- 1/4 t salt
- 2 c brown sugar (note: try reducing)
- 1 c butter
- 2 c rolled oats
- 2 eggs
- 2 T molasses
- 1 T milk
- 12 oz semisweet chips
Preparation
Combine dry ingredients. Beat together brown sugar and butter. Add eggs, oats, molasses and milk; beat well. Add dry ingredients; beat until blended. Stir in chips.
Using 1/4 c measuring cup, scoop dough and drop about 3" apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 12-15 minutes, until just starting to brown around the outside. Cool 2 minutes on sheet before removing to rack.
Note: If making regular-sized cookies, bake 11-12 minutes.
