Ingredients

  • 1 head romaine lettuce, broken into pieces
  • 1 bunch broccoli, chopped
  • 4 scallions, chopped
  • seeds of 1 pomegranate

Sweet n Sour Dressing

  • 1 c. veg oil
  • 1/2 c. sugar (I use a little less)
  • 1/2 c. wine vinager (I used white)
  • 1 T. soy sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste

Note: Makes more than enough for a single recipe of the salad.

Salad Topping

  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 c. walnuts or pecans, chopped
  • 1 pkg ramen noodels, uncooked and broken up (discard flavor packet)

Preparation

Combine and mix the ingredients for the dressing.

Combine all the ingredients for the topping in a sauce pan and brown nuts and noodles. Cool on paper towel.

Combine the lettuce, broccoli, scallions, and pomegranate seeds. Add the dressing and toss to coat. Sprinkle the topping over all and serve immediately.
