This is literally dog food. It would be fine for people too, but probably a bit bland.
We use this to help bowel movement regularity when Daisy's stool is too loose. This helps firm it up. We supplement her kibble with some of this (about half kibble, half rice mixture).
Ingredients
- 1/2 c rice
- 1 c water
- 1 t chicken base
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 c cooked chicken, chopped[1]
Preparation
Combine the rice, water and chicken base in a small pot. Bring to a boil. Partially cover and reduce heat to a simmer for 8-10 minutes, until the water is absorbed.
Reduce the heat to low and stir in the eggs until fully mixed. Stir in the cooked chicken.
Notes
- ↑ I cook a frozen chicken breast in the microwave, and then use half for this recipe and freeze the other half to make another batch later on.
