  • 1/3 c all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 t fine sea salt
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 2 1/2 c milk
  • 1/2 vanilla bean, split lengthwise (or 1/2 t vanilla extract)
  • 1 lb strawberries, smaller is better, trimmed
