Ingredients
- 2 1/4 c flour
- 2 1/2 t baking powder
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1/2 c melted butter
- 1/2 c milk
- 1/4 c chopped nuts
- 1/2 t salt
- 1 c sugar
- 1 t grated lemon peel
- 1 c chopped apple
Topping:
- 1 T butter
- 2 T flour
- 1/4 c sugar
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350.
Mix the dry ingredients together. Stir in the lemon peel, apple, and nuts. Mix together the eggs, milk, and butter. Stir until moistened. Pour into well greased loaf pan.
For the topping, mix the 2 tablespoons of flour with the 1/4 cup of sugar. Cut in the 1 tablespoon of butter. Sprinkle with topping. Bake for ~1 hour.
