Ingredients

  • 1/2 c whole-wheat flour
  • 1/2 c flour
  • 1/2 c rolled oats
  • 1/4 c sugar
  • 1/4 c brown sugar
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 7 T unsalted butter, cut into 7 pieces, at room temperature

Preparation

In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a paddle, combine both flours, the oats, both sugars, and the salt on low speed. Add the butter, 1 tablespoon at a time, until the mixture comes together but is still quite crumbly. Store the streusel in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week ro in a freezer-safe bag in the freezer for up to 1 month.
