Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 29 oz can tomato sauce
- 6 oz can tomato paste
- 1 1/2 T dried oregano leaves
- 1 t salt
- 3/4 t pepper
- 15 lasagna noodles
- 4 c (16 oz) shredded swiss cheese
- 24 oz carton cottage cheese
Preparation
In skillet, brown ground beef and garlic; drain. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, oregano, salt and pepper. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 20 minutes.
Cook noodles as directed on package; drain.
Heat oven to 350°. Grease bottom and sides of 9x13 pan. Place 5 noodles on bottom of pan. Layer 1/3 of swiss cheese on top. Add 1/3 of cottage cheese, 1/3 of meat mixture. Repeat layer twice more, ending with meat mixture.
Bake uncovered 35 minutes.
