Ingredients

  • 2 T butter
  • 2 T flour
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/8 t pepper
  • 1 1/2 c milk
  • 2 large potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 T fine chopped onion

Preparation

Melt butter. Stir in flour, salt and pepper until smooth and bubbly. Gradually add milk. Bring to a boil for 2 minutes. In greased 1 qt baking dish, layer 1/2 the potatoes. Add onion and half the sauce. Add potatoes and remainder of the sauce. Cover and bake at 350° for 35-40 minutes.
