Ingredients

  • 4 c coarsely chopped apples
  • 2 c sugar
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 c oil
  • 2 t vanilla
  • 2 c flour, sifted
  • 2 t baking soda
  • 2 t cinnamon
  • 1 t salt
  • 1 c chopped nuts

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour a 9x13 pan.

Combine the apples and sugar, and set aside.

Beat together the eggs, oil, and vanilla. Mix in the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Mix in the apple-sugar mixture. Pour batter into the prepared 9x13 pan. Bake for 1 hour.

Serve unfrosted or with a buttercream frosting.
