Ingredients
- 2 1/3 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup butter, chilled
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 2 cups chocolate chips, divided (I used semi sweet)
- 1 cup coarsely chopped nuts (I used pecans)
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 pkg toffee bits, divided
Preparation
Stir together flour, salt, and brown sugar.
Cut in butter till mixture is crumbly.
Add egg and mix well with your hands.
Mix in 1 1/2 cups of the chocolate chips and the 1 cup nuts.
Set aside 1 1/2 cups of the dough.
Press the remaining dough into a greased 9x13" pan. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
Pour the milk evenly over the crust.
Top with 1 1/2 cups of the toffee bits. Sprinkle remaining dough over the top. Sprinkle with remaining chocolate chips. Bake for 25-30 more minutes, or till golden brown.
Sprinkle the remaining toffee bits on top.
Cool completely before serving.
