Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups crushed pretzels (plus a handful of mini ones for the top)
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter chips (optional but yummy)

Preparation

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, stir together the melted butter, peanut butter, and brown sugar until smooth. Add in the egg and vanilla, mix well.

Stir in flour and baking soda until just combined. Fold in crushed pretzels, chocolate chips, and peanut butter chips.

Press the mixture evenly into the prepared pan. Press a few mini pretzels on top if you’re feeling extra fun.

Bake for 22–25 minutes until the edges are golden and the center is set but soft. Let cool completely before slicing (good luck with that part).

Slice into bars and store in an airtight container—or hide them in the back of the fridge just for you!
