Ingredients
- 1/2 c light soy sauce (Japanese style)
- 1/2 c lemon juice
- 2 t sesame oil
- 1 t sugar
- 1/4 t salt
- 2 whole chicken breasts (~2 pounds), halved
Preparation
In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, lemon juice, sesame oil, sugar and salt.
Arrange the chicken breasts in a single layer in a shallow glass or ceramic dish. Pour on the marinade and let stand at room temperature for 1 hour, turning and basting frequently.
Prepare the grill or heat the broiler. Cook the chicken about 6-8 inches from the flame for about 4-6 minutes on each side, starting with the bone side toward the heat. Baste and turn several times during the cooking process.
