Ingredients

• 3/4 c Crisco (butter flavored)
• 1 1/4 c packed brown sugar
• 2 T milk
• 1 T vanilla
• 1 egg
• 1 3/4 c flour
• 1 t salt
• 3/4 t baking soda
• 1 c semi-sweet chocolate chips
• 1/2-1 c vanilla chips

Preparation

Heat oven to 375°. Combine Crisco, brown sugar, milk and vanilla; beat until well blended. Beat egg into creamed mixture. Combine flour, salt and soda; mix into creamed mixture just until blended. Stir in chips.

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough on ungreased sheets. Bake at 375° for 8-10 minutes for chewy, 11-13 for crisp. Cool on sheet for 2 minutes. Remove to foil or rack to cool completely.
